Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Taqania collects and uses personal data through this website, and your rights under the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its Implementing Regulations issued by SDAIA.

1. Who is responsible

Taqania is the controller responsible for personal data processed through this website.

To ask a question or exercise your rights, contact our Data Protection Officer at info@taqania.com.

2. What we collect

Contact form: your name, work email, organisation, phone number if you give one, topic and message, so that we can respond.

Job applications: your name, contact details, profile links and CV. Please do not include sensitive data such as national ID numbers; we do not need them at this stage.

Talent network: your name, email, optional phone, city, areas of work, experience level, how you would like to work with us, skills, profile links, an optional note and an optional CV. Please do not include sensitive data such as national ID numbers.

Our platforms (the Tender platform, Renew and Messaging): for people we invite, we hold name, email, organisation and what you add to the platform, such as company documents and their dates, tender preferences, or WhatsApp contacts and conversations. You sign in with a code sent to your email, and signing in uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in.

Visits: we use no third-party tracking or advertising cookies, only aggregated statistics that do not identify you.

3. Why we process it, and on what basis

Enquiries: with your consent when you submit the form, to respond and follow up on the services you ask about.

Job applications: with your consent, to assess your application and contact you about it.

Talent network: with your consent, to contact you about work that fits what you told us. It is not a job application, and we send no newsletters or mass messages.

Our platforms: to provide the service your organisation signed up for, limited to showing your organisation’s data to the people it has invited.

We never sell personal data, or share it with third parties for direct marketing.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiries: as long as needed to handle the request or any resulting contract, up to 24 months, then securely destroyed unless commercial or tax rules require us to keep it longer.

CVs: 12 months, so that we can consider you for future roles, then deleted automatically unless you ask otherwise.

Talent network registrations: up to 12 months from the date you register, then deleted unless you ask us to keep them. You can ask us to delete yours at any time by emailing info@taqania.com.

Platform accounts and their data: while your organisation uses the platform, then deleted as set out in each platform’s own privacy policy. In Renew, for example, a business’s data and files are deleted within 7 days of its owner asking, and can be downloaded before then (details at renew.taqania.com/privacy). Your organisation can remove people or ask us to close the account at any time.

5. Where it is hosted

Email and form data pass through encrypted, secured cloud infrastructure, in line with cybersecurity controls and SDAIA’s regulations on transferring personal data across borders.

6. Your rights

To be told the legal basis and purpose of processing.

To access your personal data and receive a copy in a clear format.

To ask us to correct, update or complete your personal data.

To ask us to destroy your personal data once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.

To withdraw your consent at any time, and to complain to SDAIA if you believe the law has been breached.

7. How we protect it

We apply technical and organisational controls, including encryption in transit and at rest and restricted access, to prevent unauthorised access and data leaks.
